I learned a lot about diets from trial and error. I had a perfect guiney pig, and 3 other children that actually helped me figure things out. Sometimes they would react to certain foods the same time Jacob was having a MAJOR reaction. My daughter never peed her bed but 2 times before she was 5 had a very red frosting she would have nightmares and pee her bed. So I know they were related, but another mom would never know. So I'd say diet and allergies/environmental sensitivities. I also know the Measels virus was what caused my son's extensive diarrhea, and I know a lot about probiotics, enzymes, vitamins, and how the gut and brain are connected. I'm good with behavior modification, positive direction... At the very end, the last couple years, I started exploring the emotional aspects, guilt, etc. I learned about EFT and extraordinary things happened when I TAPPED all the bad out! That was the coolest of all... Oh yeah, and I believe most vaccines are a bunch of hoopla. Kids rarely die of measles, mumps, etc... only if they are already immune deficient, which means they shouldn't get the shots anyway. It's so messed up ya know? |
Why I became a

I'm out of the woods so to speak now. The energy I was spending on emotional aspects of the direction I took with my son such as, no antibiotics (except once), special diet, no more vaccines, I got so much heat from friends family I just stopped talking about it. I even had a good friend who had a kid start symptoms at age 2 and she was doing everything WRONG. I so wanted to explain thing to her but when I tried it was too much. It's hard to hear that vaccines are harmful especially to some kids. Anyway, now that I'm not so emotionally involved in my kids healing, I can be a great role model. I think I deserve 3 PhD's in autism research, so I'm READY! |

When I first got my son's autism diagnosis, I was lost. I didn't know where to go or to turn. I got the "I'm sorry your son is autistic. Good luck." I really want to help other parents not feel so lost and to show them that they do have options and that these children are getting better. |
