Why I became a
Rescue Angel: |
I want to become a Rescue Angel because I know what it's like to have no idea what to do and where to start. I want to help someone that was in my same position and tell them there is hope. I want to tell them my story from where we started to where we are now. This includes biomedical intervention, GFCF diet, and therapy. My 6 year old son, Shelton has made leaps and bounds and is on the road to recovery and I will not stop until that happens. Everyone around me thought that oh no(even my husband at first) nothing's wrong with Shelton but I followed my gut feeling and early intervention has made a huge difference in my child. So I would tell any parent don't give up no matter what anyone says there is hope and help. The help may be unconventional but it does work, at least it did for us. I know that biomedical results doesn't work the same for every child but it's worth the journey. Shelton was is in a regular Kindergarten class and is now going into a regular First grade class, which is something we thought would never happen but when we started the diet my child changed! He started talking in complete sentences had much more eye contact and was more social. We were already doing biomedical but not GFCF. The two combined along with early intervention has made a tremendous difference in Shelton. Dr. Cave, his DAN! doctor was so surprised to see just how much progress he has made. I just want to help other parents and their children that where we were and I feel this would be a great way to do it. Thank you for your time. |
| Child's Symptoms: |
Shelton was delayed in speech, motor skills, social skills and still is sometimes as far as social skills, but he does try now when before he would just stand in the corner and not interact with other kids. His conversation skills are much better but he still has trouble carrying on a fluid conversation. Biomedical intervention along with therapy has made drastic changes in Shelton, all for the better. I do believe he is on the road to recovery |

| Child's Symptoms: |
Extreme Paranoia, repetitive questions, inappropriate laughter, extreme noise sensitivity, could not stand to be near other people, said the opposite of what he meant, very OCD about his clothes, bad meltdowns all day, food intolerance, chronic staph infections, OCD about drawing the alphabet and then cutting each letter out (he would sit and do that for 8 hours at a time or more). |
| Helpful Therapies: |
Diet: SCD, all organic initially. Later on, normal diet with Houston enzymes for four years with every meal and snack without fail. Digestive enzymes,MB12 injections,Valtrex, high dose misclized vitamin A from Klaire Labs, probiotics (primal Defense), chelation, amino acids. |
