Sherri Tenpenny, D.O., has written a brief but important summary of
flu-shot efficacy. The findings she reviews prompt questions
about why anti-influenza vaccinations are so heavily promoted.
The citations and summaries she presents merit attention, especially
when a parent evaluates (a) risks of flu shots containing thimerosal,
in comparison with (b) mediocre efficacy of anti-influenza
vaccinations. Furthermore, pregnant women need be concerned, because
the "flu shot" may affect the fetal brain (reviewed in 1). A related
question - given the findings cited by Dr. Tenpenny, why do the CDC,
AMA, and many media outlets seem to be serving as marketing agents for
makers of anti-influenza vaccines?
