What Happened:	2 month DTAP shot anad sick for weeks for first time next visit his head had swollen from 50% to 80% dr. Did [not?] mark chart right or notice. (head was back 50% @ 24months) sick from there on out just as he felt better we had a dr. appointment more shots/illness-Flu was really bad he was sick for 3-4 months turn 105 degrees at one point and dr. stated it was normal for some. 16m MMR shot was sick bed sick bout 2-3 weeks as usual but came out crazy-no longer talking at all, thrashing in bed for 2-3 hours till fall asleep i put him to bed, still do. 24 months asked dr. about autism? He stated Skye would grow out of non-verbal if not come back at 3 years old. Dr. gave Skye his last round of Vaccinations and he spiraled down hill, no eye contact total MR PDD called OCRC and started his intervention. Skye's MD charts are normal well baby till 24 onth even then the Dr. did not diagnose even after we had, the dr. is still lost on the topic and referral to OC kids if lucky or OCRC for speech. Dr.'s just do not listen I think it is to hard to admit they are part of this.

What Happened:	I remember taking her to the doctor and asking him if this shot would cause any harm to her. I was told no no no. I remember having second thoughts. I then remember my healthy girl getting her MMR. Overnite, she was projectile vomiting and spiked a fever. The following morning, she was not the child she was the day before. I will always blame myself for not following my gut.

What Happened:	15 months old vaccines (including MMR) adverse reactions: was running before he had vaccines and once he had the vaccines he was running into walls and stumbling. Two days later, he couldn't walk/couldn't crawl, acted like he was 'on drugs', kept holding his head and moaning, and lost all speech (he had about 10 words before that). It was all downhill from there. I fully support an alternative vaccine schedule and do not believe that newborns should be vaccinated.

What Happened:	Marcel was born on a military base overseas. Labor & Delivery was normal. Marcel never missed a check-up and he received of his scheduled shots on time. Medical records indicate that Marcel developed normally until the age of 19 months, when he was diagnosed as having Pervasive Developmental Disorder Not Otherwise Specified. During that time Marcel also developed chronic diarrhea, an issue doctors couldn't explain. All of this occured after Marcel received a long series of vaccinations, the last being the MMR.

What Happened:	After her second round of shots, late that same night she began to cry uncontrollably as if someone was sticking her with needles. The cries became louder almost like screaming in terror, then she turned green, stopped breathing and passed, she was gone 20 to 30 seconds...her father had to call her back into this realm.

What Happened:	Same story like many others!!!! My pediatrician completely dismissed my concernes regarding vaccinations and Autism making me feel bad that I even brought up the issue gave my 14 month old daughter the MMR, Chickenpox and persuaded me to give her a flue shot at the same time. within four weeks she received 3 more shots which makes 8 vaccines in one month. From then she lost her socialization and 3 month later when she received her last 3 vaccinations she crashed!

What Happened:	JUST DISCOVERED THIS SITE! I have a 4 year old boy .. who when born every thing was wonderful he was healthy and strong alert had a few word's then about the age of 19 month's started showing sign's of something suddenly wrong. Loss of any words and attention and eventually autism was almost the conclusion but .... after a year and lot of help with OT therapy, speech therapy development and health he know seems to be coming out of this chemistry of imbalance and autism is not the medical out come. How? Only due to being a mom that wasn't about to let the Dr's misdiagnose my child. Remember I saw this child before the shots, I spend every day with him. There is there more to fear with his system and health and I believe his shots had something to do with this ... rather it be the flu shot or another shot but the further away from the shots after a huge pause he seems to be come out of it. I'm in fear of him getting his required shots in the future in fear of a relapse .. it has taken a lot of hard work to get him back on track and I don't want to have any set back's due to shots. I know they say we need our vaccines to be healthy but at what cost? We need to Green Our Vaccines

What Happened:	I wasn't "one of those parents" blaming vaccines. In fact, I wasn't sure I really believed they could harm a child. I mean, how could doctors and nurses let that happen? We trust them to educate us and keep our children healthy and safe. That was in 2000, when my son was diagnosed with Autism and I first started researching. I kept thosehoughts in the back of my mind, and kept reading and listening to other parent's stories. Over the years, it became extremely hard to deny...SOME children had definately been injured by their vaccines. You could even see it in their pictures...a frightening truth that proved regression. But was MY son injured by vaccines? I never really noted the regression. He had ALWAYS been difficult. I mostly attributed his autism has having something to do directly with his hospitalization for Meningitis (that he did not end up having) at two weeks of age. I had taken him in for his check-up with a mild fever and they rushed him to the hospital. We were told to meet him there and when I walked in the room and saw my tiny newborn with an IV in his forehead, I was shocked and scared to say the least. I read about lots of Autistic children being treated for meningitis and the harsh medicine was thought to contribute. That had to be it. But the more I learned, the question still lingered in the back of my mind....where was the regression? After seeing so many "before and after" photos, I decided to look one more time in my son's album, to see if maybe there was something I missed....a mother's love is blind....maybe I had just over looked it. On one of the very first pages of the scrapbook, was a copy of the hospital bill. I had saved it just to look back on one day to see how much it cost to have a baby those days. I read over it carefully, and noted the Eep B vaccine given at two days old. I sighed...if I had only had an idea that he didn't NEED that- he was so tiny- but I had trusted the doctors. But the shock came when I read that on the same day, I had been given the MMR vaccine. I was fully immunized, but the blood test showd I was not immune to Rubella. I never even remembered agreeing to it or them asking me about it. I'm would have definately told them I had had all my shots! In the hospital, I had no problems nursing my baby boy. Being a young, first time mother, I was at a teaching hospital, and I remembered the doctor coming in with students and asking me how I knew how to take care of this baby. I told them, "I just knew, it wasn't hard at all". He nursed and pooped and did all the great things babies do so the doctors can send them home. But when I got home, I couldn't get him to nurse. It was like he had forgotten how to latch on properly. Then, he would only eat for a few minutes and cry and cry. I thought, maybe I wasn't making enough milk for him. I worried and worried and tried and tried. Finally, bleeding and sore and exhausted in the middle of the night, I gave up trying to nurse my three week old son. I believe that the combination of the HepB my son was given at two days old and the MMR I was given as I nursed my son injured him in such a way that he regressed and forgot the basic instict to nurse. I believe his fever at two weeks old was a result of his immunizations and the cause of his constant illnesses until after age 2. From two to 10 years old, my son frequently vomited and had unexplained rashes and fevers that reoccurred about once a month, lasting a week to ten days at a time, and without the doctors ever givig me an explanation. The fevers only quit with biomedical intervention!

By 20 months his language was gone. Thus, began our journey down the road of autism though it would be another 17 months before we knew what we were dealing with.

	Something before 14 months of age!
What Happened:	Bennett had always been a "regular kid". Met his milestones on time, walked a few months "late" but he was actually matching my husband's walking schedule so we weren't concerned. He had a few words....the usual for a 1 year. Ball, Juice, hi, he waved hi and bye. When he was about 10 months old, he started to have horrible allergic reactions to the new foods on his food list for new foods. He would vomit it up not 5 minutes after eating it and we would cross it off the list. But it got to where the list was getting longer and longer and the foods that he loved and never had a problem with were suddenly on this list. My husband also has severe nut allergies and we knew allergies can get passed along to the child. Our pediatrician advised us (after a few doses of Antibiotics) to seek the advice of an allergist and a Gastrointestinal Doctor. Bennett keeps vomiting night after night, meal after meal and in the meantime is still getting his vaccinations from his pediatrician. We were never told it was NOT ok to vaccinate a sick child. He knew Bennett was sick, he did it anyway. Bennett was still saying a few words, still meeting milestones and has always been a giggly, happy baby and to this day still is. The turning point came right after he turned 1. He stopped talking and pointing. He would stare at fans and wheels on bicycle like he was amazed. He would vomit up to 4 times a nite. The GI doctor finally (after months on the waiting list) got Bennett in for a Endoscopy, Colonoscopy. They found nothing. Slight redness. So they put him on meds for acid reflux. They NEVER did a pill cam. We tested allergies and nothing was ever consistent so nothing was ever changed. One test would say he was allergic to wheat, the next said he wasn't, etc. He stayed on those allergens...no telling what he was allergic to at the time, still to this day. His vomiting decreased and so did his verbals. He stopped everything. He just wanted to sit and play and watch tv. He was still happy because like I said, he is a very happy child. But to tell us about it and the world around him is different. By 18 mo (still getting his vaccinations on time) he was totally non-verbal, could follow no directions (go get your shoes), was fixated on the technical things, eye contact was non-existent. He was gone. Our pediatrician gave us this look of sadness as he told us that he felt we needed to seek a neurologist to get him tested. We did, everything was normal. I later found out that this is normal. Nothing ever shows up. His hearing was tested, everything was tested. Why wasn't Bennett talking? We were getting services from our local Early Childhood Intervention Services. He started ABA after getting a diagnosis in 2007. Bennett was 2 years old. We started going to see a DAN! a few months later. Bennett was tested for everything. It was later found out through testing that Bennett's GI system resembled a Crohn's Disease patient of an adult. Extensive damage was done to his entire GI system. He had Entercolotis similar to Crohn's. Testing also revealed dangerously high levels of Mercury and Aluminum, Cadmium and Lead. Now you tell me how a 2 year old gets large amounts of Mercury and Aluminum in his body. Lead? You can't tell me it's not the vaccines. I have read the one of the 3 signs of getting Crohn's is the MMR. My child is getting better through Biomedical and Chelation and ABA. His GI system is healing at a great pace. I urge friends and family to NOT vaccinate on the current schedule or to stop all together if their child has medical issues and they always look at me like I have 2 heads. Some listen once their kid stops anything at all that they were doing before. So I know the message is out there. He is now (as of May 2009)verbal, mostly echolalia and very good amount of spontaneous speech. His eye contact is perfect. He plays with is baby brother (NT due to NO vaccines past 4 mo), takes us to what he needs and signs or verbalizes. He is coming back to us.... slowly but he is coming back.

What Happened:	When Colin was born he was a healthy little guy. I wanted to be the good mother and keep him safe and healthy so I chose to vaccinate him following the current schedule. His first year of life he developed typically and reached all him milestones. He was walking, smiling, interacting with us, babbling and beginning to say a handful of words. It was after he received a flu shot that we started to notice odd repetitive behaviors. Unfortunately that was not enough to stop me from doing further vaccinations so we followed the schedule and started to see our baby slip away from us. After each round of vaccines he seemed to slip further and further away. By 24 mos he lost all language, was in his own world flapping and spinning and totally unaware of us or the world around him. After his diagnoses of autism we did a series of lab test. We were shocked to find that his titers were 3 times the amount they should have been for his age. We also found out that Colin is a poor methylator which makes it hard for him to remove the toxins that are in the vaccines and our environment. It was a loaded gun and the vaccines pulled the trigger.

What Happened:	On his 3rd day of life, he recived the HEP B vaccine. From that point until he was around 6 months old, he cried in pain most of the time, slept little and had feeding problems. He seemed to get better at around 6 months, but still had some red flags. At around 18 months, he had a really bad case of the coxsackie virus. At that point, he lost the few words that he had and all red flag symptoms became more prominant. Many things have clued us in to what is going on with our son. To keep this short, we feel that he probably is dealing with a chronic meningitis. Viral infections have caused regressions for him and his viral titers have been very high for certain viruses that tend to cause injury in the neurological system. Even though the HEP B seemed to start some of his issues, I believe that vaccines in general are very risky and each vaccine that he received probably contributed to the burden on his body.

What Happened:	He was a twin gestation and swallowed fluid, had to be worked on a little bit in the delivery room and then guess what? Was given the Hep B vaccine on top of an already compromised immune system. Oh, and did I mention the day the twins turned 1 year old I took them to get the baby well check up and they received MMR, Varicella, AND a flu???? With TWINS and the mere head cold, I couldn't keep up with vaccines, I trusted my kids pediatrician...my boy had 18 vaccines until I stopped them at 18 months old.

What Happened:	My son was a very happy loving little boy up until his 1 year well baby visit once he received his vaccines and we went him he got a fever became very cranky and I slowly watched my loving little boy fade away to some far away place! I still to this day with him being 17 months old have not gotten an answer or diagnosis and its driving me crazy cause i have that mommy radar thing going and telling me its autism and I'm right and will not take no for an answer! I started the gfcf diet and in the 2 weeks of being on it he has made some small changes in talking and behavior but he still flaps and spins the wheels on his cars and stares off into space and causes pain to himself and others with no remorse. He used to say "mommy" "daddy" "ball" "truck" and a ton of words and now all he says is "no" "mama" "baba" "dada" and he just disappeared and I want him back so desperately I will do what ever it takes to help him recover!

What Happened:	August 18, 1991. Hold up four fingers, Ben. That's right, you're four years old! On Ben's birthday he was coming down with a cold. August 19, 1991. On his day-after-birthday, Ben received his four-year immunizations. He was sick. The doctor noted that Ben had no eye contact, was known to have autism, and was screaming all the time. Ben received three vaccines: for oral polio; diphtheria, tetanus, and pertussis; and measles, mumps, and rubella. One month later, at the request of the school, Ben received his Haemophilus b conjugate vaccine. August 25, 1991. Ben began the regular fall semester of his Early Childhood Intervention program at McCoy. He reentered the Early Learning Program, I wrote in a letter to a friend, and met all of his first year developmental goals within a month. His teachers are astounded. So are we. September 6, 1991. Which therapy was helping Ben? I said vitamins; Sue said light. Careful to keep our disagreement from spilling over to Ben, I wrote to Dr. Rimland for advice. He suggested that we try one therapy at a time and observe the results. We took Ben off B6 and DMG. By the third week in September, I wrote in my diary, Ben was 100% un-potty trained and was using no language except 'eee-Up!' He was masturbating like mad. All systems were failing: potty training, language, attention span. November 5, 1991. I wrote, Attempts to replicate last summer’s light therapy results have not been successful …We charted Ben's behavior in potty training, masturbation, commands, eye contact, socialization, and use of language. After more than two weeks, there was no clear improvement in his behavior on the light therapy compared to baseline behavior in the categories we charted. Ben had cratered. We put him back on vitamin B6 and DMG. From a twenty-first century perspective, it's tempting to conclude that Ben’s four-year vaccinations were at least partially responsible for his regression. But in 1991, vaccines were not suspected as a trigger for autism. Because Ben's regression didn’t occur immediately after the shots, Sue and I didn’t suspect a link. All we knew was that we were at the bottom of the crater, and Ben wasn't responding to the B6 and DMG either. We were stuck.

What Happened:	My daughter seemed fine but after her shots she had rashes, ear infections, respiratory infections, fevers, etc. Her behavior became very difficult and defiant. Meltdowns- she would bang her head and bite herself. As she aged she began repeating movie dialogue, repeating a word she heard over and over, became very inflexible, never forgot anything. She covered her ears when toilets flushed, it thundered, or we needed to drain the tub. She lined up toys and was very concerned with grouping them. She became very pre-occupied with x-rays and animals. Parties were a nightmare! She needed about 45 minutes of time before she could "adjust" and look or talk to people. She never lost her speech, but things had changed she was almost OCD acting and we lived at the dr. due to ear infections and sinus infections. Also, food and eating became a nightmare. She reduced herself down to chicken nuggets, french toast, and mac and cheese. I always thought that it was a coincidence that all this happen after shots, but now I am thinking that is not true. She seemed fine until they gave her this big immunization that was all combined at around 18 months old.

What Happened:	He was a Great baby loved being held. He got all his shots on schedule. After the second varicella shot he started acting funny. He would not let you hold him, he started pounding his head in the floor, could not stand to play with others. We knew there was a problem but didn't want to see it. The first day of kindergarten the teacher called and he was in the nurses office with a bag of ice on head because he could not go to lunch. A couple days went by and I got another call he was running around the class room trying to catch his thoughts. That is when I knew we tried everything but I would not let any doctor tell me autism. I don't want Ridalin or any thing like it. I just need help.

What Happened:	When he was 14 months old he was talking and getting to know food and people. We forgot to get his shots and they gave him 4 shots and a drink. Within a week my son stopped talking and eating went to full time breast feeding. My son was a normal kid and something happened when he got the last shots!! He almost died twice, I know in my heart that the shots are why he became ill and stopped developing! And all they can say is "it happens." 1 out of 150 get Autism and that's all I was told, but I know that it was the Vaccines.

What Happened:	After Noah received his 2 month vaccines he became very colicky and cried for 3 to 4 hours straight every night and it wasn't until I started taking him to a chiropractor the the crying slowly stopped. Prior to Noah's 1 year shots he could speak several words and do baby sign language... once he received his vaccines he couldn't speak a word or do any sign language.

What Happened:	Kaelyn did everything early. Walked early, talked early, at 12-14 months she said "I kick it" and "Love my bubba". She was starting to pee on the potty at 14mo. She was loving, affectionate and social. We brought her in for the MMR and Varivax. I held her down while they injected her and she screamed. When we left, she was silent in the car. The ride home, not a peep. She had a slight fever and was lethargic, which they say is NORMAL. The next day, no improvement. Days later, she still isn't herself. I KNEW something was wrong but had absolutely no idea what had happened. Then my mother saw Jenny on Oprah. I lived in denial for a couple months, until a walk in care doctor said to us "She is Autistic, I bet she doesn't even know you're her parents" (word for word, no lie) My husband LOST it. We called her ped. I told her what was said. She was in disbelief. She had JUST seen Kaelyn and she was advanced. SO I brought her in. Her Dr. spent time with us and then said "Mourn the loss of your hopes and dreams, she does have Autism". She recommended the gluten free diet. I researched it, liked what I saw and tried it. AMAZING SUCCESS. When I found DAN! I asked my ped if she would be willing to work alongside a DAN!. She had no idea what it was and then went on to say they were quacks who were after our money. She told me there was NO WAY the vaccines had injured my child and there was nothing I could do for her (I SWEAR this is what was said to us). I got a new ped and a DAN! and I can't WAIT until Kaelyn can call that ped and say "Geez Dr,______, it's too bad you couldn't open your mind even a crack, you could have helped me say this".

What Happened:	My son was meeting all his developmental milestones up until about his first birthday. He did get frequent low-grade fevers and episodes of strep, but his cognitive development was fine up until this point. At his 1-year well check, he was fighting off the remnants of his latest cold, and his pediatrician still recommended all his scheduled vaccinations. I was naive and didn't know any better, so I went ahead with the vaccinations (MMR, Hib, Varicella, and his first flu shot). He got a bad fever not long after this, and about two weeks later, he got his flu shot booster. It wasn't even two weeks after this, Christmas Eve to be exact, that he got a fever higher than usual (103). We did the recommended fever protocol, but on Christmas Day, he got so bad that I rushed him to the emergency room. His entire body was flushed; he was entirely lethargic, not wanting to move or do anything. At the hospital, his fever spiked to over 105 (almost 106), and he had a very severe case of pneumonia. After his hospitalization was what I call "the big switch." He no longer made eye contact. His language development came to a screeching halt and even regressed to virtually nothing. The most painful thing to watch was my son fall into his own little world, and there seemed to be nothing I could do about it. My little boy was lost, and it's taken every ounce of my energy to begin bringing him back to where he is today.

Doctors wouldn't take much time with me and would brush me off. It was at her two year check up when autism was finally noticed. By then, the affects had taken it's toll.

What Happened:	At age 18 months my son was give his Vaccination shots at a Medical runned clinic. While I was getting my 3 month old ready for his check up another nurse came in and gave Patrick a second round of the very same shots. By the time I noticed what she was doing it had happened. After informing the doctors on duty of the mistake they had me sign a waiver of no fault. At the time they told me that it was safe for him to get extra dose. Just to watch for extreme symptoms,such as high fever vomiting rashes. They never told me that my once happy child was going to turn into a lost child. It started with the lose of vocabulary,then the stimming started hand flapping spinning in circles, laughing to himself. the rocking I could handle, but when he started the head banning that was hard. 3 trips to the ER for head wounds, but yet he never cried when they stiched him up nor did he cry when he first got hurt. with in 4 months he was totally gone. He never would look at me but more thru me or over me. he did not care if I left a room where as my other kid flipped out if I left. He only wanted to play with objects that spun. After noticing all these changes A close friend of mine who was born with hearing but lost it at an year age,thought that he might have lost his hearing and was now deaf. After getting hearing tested and told he had almost perfect hearing,I was at lost point. A Dr. at UCLA happened to be in the same elevator as us and noticed Patrick flapping his hand like a bird ready to take off. He asked me a few general questions about Patrick, and gave me an informal diagnosis. Patrick might be autistic. Scariest words I ever heard. He offered to test him at no cost to me. He was tested on a Tuesday and started intensive in home therapy the next monday. That went on for 2 1/2 years. It was stressful and hard to watch at times, but well worth the time and effort. There is alot more to my life story. If you have any questions I am very open about to it.... I that my lucky stars that I have 5 wonderful children and would not of changed anything .

What Happened:	Saniyah was a typically developing baby until her 12 month shots. Soon after the shots Saniyah received she began to cry a lot. She began to not look at others when others are playing with her. She began to get sick with infections (sinus, ear, and respiratory). She began to get severe diaper rashes and skin ulcerations (boils) that were very painful, red, and swollen. She began to lose the language that was developing. Saniyah was requesting with one- three word utterances. It took 18 months to lose all of her language. I watched my child lose all means of communication. Her receptive language platoed. She retained many of the skills learned before the injury, but gained no new skills. Up until this time Saniyah had never had a cold or diaper rash.

What Happened:	We missed our 12 month vaccinations and at 18 months of age when I took her to the doctor they were adament about giving her 12 month and 18 month immunisations all at once. They made me feel guilty because my first reaction telling them no and as a naive 23 year old I gave in and paid the alterment price. My daughter I could see in her eyes on the way home something was not right. It didn't take long she started with a high temperature, a rash, cloudyness in the eyes and pastey skin. I took her to the hospital because i was deeply concerned she was just getting worse as time went on. They told me some children have these reactions and I shouldn't be concerned. I knew something wasn't right and they kept me there to monitor her. It was 48 hours of pure hell and when we went home because her temps were normal again. My little girl just wasn't the same. I expressed that at her visit with the maternal health care nurse and she told me Ebony was fine. It wasn't until her 2 year check with the nurse they said she had a developmental delay and referred me to a peditrician. This was because she then had no eye contact, very limited speech, obsessive and repeative behaviors and no social skills. It was the worst time in my life watching my child deterriate and feeling completely helpless. Often I watch her slip into her own world where I could be on fire in the same room and she wouldn't have noticed. I still feel slightly guilty today.

What Happened:	I hope that my son, Austin’s story will give hope for some families and maybe even shed some light for a few. His is different from most that you read about because he was never actually diagnosed with autism, but he was, undoubtedly, "becoming autistic". What you do need to know is what he was diagnosed with. He was born in March, 1998- 3 weeks to the day after my 18th birthday. I was always a single parent, with the help of my own parents. He was always normal- just a very happy & content little baby. He did most things right on cue and a few he was a late bloomer on, but nothing unusual. He received his 15 month MMR & Hep B vaccines on the same day. He was 17 months old (we were a little behind). Within 21 days he could no longer move- he just laid there staring at the ceiling unless you touched him...then he screamed the most bloodcurdling scream that you’ve ever heard. The weeks before that were so confusing and only looking back on it now, 8 years later, do I see how obvious it was. He went from not responding to his own name, to being mean and throwing tantrums, which wouldn’t have been strange but he had NEVER done that before, to banging his head on the walls, to refusing to stand, to not being able to speak words. His eyes even began to go different directions. Within about 10 days of those shots we were realizing something wasn’t right but we had no idea of the magnitude. Over those 3 weeks I saw 17 different doctors and the diagnosis’ ranged from nothing is wrong with him at all, to allergies, to a cold, to me spoiling him and my absolute favorite- me having Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy. I went to St Mary’s Hospital, which is suppose to be a non-for-profit hospital specializing in children, with a doctor’s order for neurological workup on my son and they refused to do it and told me to give him Ibuprofen every 8 hours. I never even saw an actual doctor on that visit. At barely 19 I was confused and decided maybe they were right, maybe I’m making up something that’s not there. Thank God my mom kept on me. I remember the tearful argument on my work phone- me asking "what else am I suppose to do? Everyone says it’s nothing, I’m crazy, etc". All she really said was, "you know your son, you know something is wrong". Dr. # 17 was Dr. Ivy Faske. She sent me to another hospital with another dr.’s order for another set of tests. To be honest, I expected the same treatment as the other hospital, but I was wrong. Within about 6 hours of walking through the door of that hospital my son was being treated. Some of the details are fuzzy because I was so young and to be honest- I blocked most of it for years. They had done a complete scan- something like an MRI, of my son after they injected him with this "glowing", active, green liquid that would help things show up better. They found that he had diskitis- this is only found in 1 out 1 million children. About 2 years ago I mentioned it to one of the doctors from the practice that we were going to at the time and he told me that I had to be mistaken- "if there had been a kid diagnosed with that in this practice I would’ve heard about it". I ru dely told him to "check the file". The gist of it was that "bad shots" caused this bacteria infection at the base of my sons’ spine (diskitis). The infection was "eating" away at the vertebrates. By the time we got to the hospital the lowest one was already completely gone and it was "working on" the second, which they managed to save. If we hadn’t gotten to the hospital when we did the infection would’ve continued to work it’s way up his spine- creating more and more autistic symptoms until it got to his brain- then he would’ve been autistic. They treated him with massive doses of i.v. anti-biotics and anti-inflammatories over 2 weeks. He was put in a body cast for 6 weeks and could return to daycare for 6 months. I’m torn on whether it had any "long-term" affect on my son. My son never had a solid bowl movement until he was 4. As a result of that, it hurt so much when he did have one that he would hold it for days until he couldn’t, so we had potty training issues until he was 7. I know that sounds crazy but the doctor said that he had been doing it for so long that it was a learned behavior that his body became use to so we had to retrain his body. He was held back in kindergarten. I don’t know how to feel about that. He is a March baby and they say that boys mature slower than girls, but what I couldn’t understand is why he no longer knew how to count to 20 or his ABC’S- he had known them a few years before that. He would learn them but he couldn’t "retain" them for the longest time. He just turned 10 last week and he’s a normal, rough & tough 10 year old boy. The main thing that I want people to know from my story is that NEVER let anyone dismiss you or make you think you’re crazy, especially when it involves your child. ALWAYS seek a second opinion and don’t be afraid to get a third or a fourth opinion. You know your child, so you know when something isn’t right. For any of the parents that are dealing with the aftermath of any of these toxic vaccines, please know that there is hope- my son is proof. Good luck to all of you, you’re in my prayers.

What Happened:	1-5 2007 - nine days post MMR-V (proquad) vaccine - Julia was found seizing and in critical condition in her crib. She was airlifted to Miami Childrens Hospital and was hospitalized for one month - 1st in PICU in a ventilator, in a coma, with a feeding tube, etc...then in the neuro ward for three weeks - diganosis - encephalitis. Etiology? Unknown...(I knew!!!) Julia was 1 year old when discharged from hospital, but functioning at a 2 month level. She had another severe seizure episode in 9-08 and was hospitalized again for 10 days. Diagnosis? Epilepsy coming from site of previous brain damage from encephalitis in 1-07. Julia is currently 3 1/2 years old, but cognitively at about 12-15 months and nonverbal with significant mobility issues. The vaccine court conceded her encephalitis case mid June and they are working on a settlement for her. This is great news financially for her, but I just want my old daughter back. It is so hard to watch her struggle, and it has caused immense family and financial issues for me, her now single mother, and her brother Jack who is six and typically developing, but not given the attention he deserves due to his sister's needs. Something or someone has to control this issue - vaccines are NOT one size fits all.

What Happened:	Before I knew, my son was fully vaccinated and he cried all the time, would not sleep, very picky eater, was late in hitting all milestones and did not speak words until about 6. I was told by many doctors that he is colic and would be lactose intolerant. I was told by many doctors, that development in boys happens much later than compared to girls. I was told by many doctors that I should be patient; that nothing is wrong with his development and he would develop at his own pace – “every child is different”. Had I known what I know now about these vaccines, I would have never given him all the shots that caused all the problems that he has today. The MMR combined vaccine is the shot that I noticed major regression in his behavior (made noise, rocked back and forth, became obsessed with numbers, would space out a lot, looked down with head down most of the time, would cry about anything, would not even speak yes or no would only point) but I still did not link the vaccines to his issues. That’s when his pediatrician suggested I take him to an early intervention program for evaluation where they told me he could be ADHD or have Autism/Asperger’s syndrome disorder. Today he has autism/asperger's syndrome disorder and it has been and still is a very hard battle. I feel all these vaccines and their toxins contributed to his autism and many other allergies/food sensitivites, but the MMR combined shot is what made him hit that tipping point where all of a sudden his issues became very obvious and by this time it was too late and now he has Autism! His last vaccine was in 2005. He has dramatically improved with the help of speech and OT since then.

What Happened:	My son had a chronic ear infection from the age of 10 mos-14 mos(when they finally put the tubes in his ears). Joseph was a very vocal infant and had started to say..mama,dada etc...When the ear infections started so did the antibiotics...and a slew of other medications. He never got rid of the ear infection so they kept him on antibiotics until the surgery the last being a series of roecefen shots.During this time he was given the MMR and the Varicella shots (12 mos). His speech was just gone after that...and he didnt say a true first word until he was around 4 yrs old.

What Happened:	Micheal is a twin; although they were born at 37 weeks weighing 5 lbs 10oz each, they remained very small and were both diagnosed "failure to thrive" despite breastfeeding and all checkups. In going to many doctor visits for these issues, they got behind in their shots, and although they were much smaller than other babies their age, the pediatrician put them on a "catch up" schedule, resulting in more vaccines administered in a shorter period of time to get them "caught up." (I had also been forced to have an MMR booster only 6 months before becoming pregnant in order to attend the public University to complete my degree. I was not allowed to claim an exemption because we were trying to conceive, and was simply ordered by the OB doctor to "wait at least 3 months" before trying again). Following this rapid "catch up" regimen, my son was diagnosed with Autism and my daughter had persistent Gastro-Intestinal problems, even refusing to eat solid food for 4 months at only 2 years of age. Doctors state she did this because she did not have a day without stomach pain. They found MMR virus in her intestinal tract. Between this and my son's diagnosis, I contacted the supplier of their vaccines and received lot control #s and submitted adverse vaccine reaction reports.

What Happened:	-At birth he was given the HBV- then less than a week after discharge he was readmitted due to not eating. -12/14/99 he got HBV, DTaP, Hib- he became an extremely easy baby. Didn’t want to be held nor did he cry very often. -3/29/00- 11-16-00 was given Influenza shot, HBV 1x, DTaP 3x, IPV 3x, Hib 3x, PCV 1x, and MMR 1x- Not long after all this he stopped talking and develop somewhere in-between asthma and was sick a lot. He even came down with Pneumonia several times. -11/13/03 he got DTaP, IPV, and MMR. This put him at age 3 and is when things really went down hill. Clothes would bother him, such as tags and socks (he still wears socks inside out), he had little interest in making friends, lined up his toys and they HAD to standup otherwise he would have a total meltdown. By age 5 he was removed from two separate daycares, they state they were unable to handle him. He was unable to relate to peers, showed no emotions, no pride in things well done, was completely oblivious to his impact on others, and had no concept of cause and effect relationships. This is the point I lost all parenting ability, nothing worked, and he just didn’t care. I never once thought this was due to vaccines until I started reading articles on the topic and looking over his immunization records. No, the reaction wasn’t days after however, it was only weeks. Additionally he received vaccinations while sick and on antibiotics (they wipeout normal gut flora- this lining makes up 70% of the immune system). I was also instructed to give Tylenol before and after his visits to help with the pain. I now have learned Tylenol reduces glutathione, which is an important defense against mercury.

What Happened:	I feel that both of my childrens autism was caused by vaccines. The only proof I have is that they seemed perfectly healty until recieving thier shots. Both my daughter and son had bad reactions after recieving shots. My daughter is nine and is up to date on her shots, her reactions were not as severe as her baby brother. I refused to get my son anymore vaccines when he reacted so badly to his shots at four months. It was around six months that I realized with both of my children that something was off. They would get excited and flap thier hands and thier little legs would just lock up. It was not as severe with my daughter so I didn't think anything of it. But with my son he would lock up and wouldn't even breathe! I would have to jar him to get his attention off of what ever was getting him so excited. Unfortunately my childrens father was in complete denial and forbid me to speak of the possibility of autism (but I knew after seeing my sons symptoms). It wasn't until our daughter was diagnosed with Burkitts Lymphoma in 2008 that he came to his senses. Burkitts lymphoma is caused by EBV, a herpes virus. I strongly believe that my daughters weakened immune system from her immunizations left her vulnerable to the EBV and allowed it to take over and become a cancer. Thank God she is in remission and on her way to having a full recovery! I have had to live with two seperate hells. My daughters cancer and high functioning autism and my sons more severe form of autism. I am new to the biomedical protocol, but I will do everything in my power to make sure my children are as healthy as possible and possibly cured of autism. I've conquered cancer and now I WILL conquer autism! I should also mention that I have a little sister born in 1999 who was diagnosed with JRA at the age of four. And I also have a nephew born in 2005, the same as my son, who has what his doctors are calling "mild retardation", but I believe he has autism as well. His behavior is very similar to my sons. These are NOT coincedences! My family was genetically predisposed to have adverse reactions to vaccines! Besides being related, immunizations are the only common denominator. All of our children had bad reactions to the shots! There is no history of cancer, arthritis, or autism anywhere else in our family history! I just have to wonder if our family is alone, or are there other families who have these same issues?

What Happened:	After his MMR shot around 18 months I noticed changes in his behavior and then I took him for his flu shot not long after that and he was a totally diffrent kid. Lost all language, the tantrums started, an he stopped playing with his toys. All he wanted to do was lay in our bed and watch spongebob.

What Happened:	I have a beautiful son. His name is Jarrod. He is 8 years old and he is bright, loving, and an extremely happy child. He developed normally and was even starting to say Mom and Dad around 7 months. One evening I noticed how congested he still was from a previous cold he had gotten 2 weeks before after he received the Pneumococcalvaccine to prevent pneumonia. He started running a 103 fever so we rushed him to the hospital where he was diagnosed as contracting the RSV virus. After 2 weeks in the hospital he physically recouped very nicely. However I noticed he had changed. He was not developing normally. He stopped talking altogether, he didn't walk till he was 16 months, and he was not responding to his environment at all and eye contact was nonexistent. Jarrod was getting worse because of no structure in his life his father is a great “daddy” but not much of a “father” support wise when it comes to any of my son’s medical or mental health intervention; he is in complete denial that anything is wrong with his “perfect son”. His father and I split up over the years and he continues to be in total denial of his son’s condition but continues to see him every weekend, because he does love him and my son has a great bond with his dad. So I took over. I got him enrolled in every early intervention program there is. I have him in Occupational therapy, Physical therapy, Music therapy and he has a Speech Therapist once a week. He also attends karate once to twice a week specifically aimed for special needs and he has been doin great! He has made improvements by great leaps and bounds but still has not been able to grasp the concept of basic social skills. I am having my current peditrician help me investigate if he has possible brain damage from this fever he had for the extended length of time but it is impossible to find a neurologist without a 3 yr waiting list.

What Happened:	July 22, 2009 my daughter who at the time was about 26 months receieved the Hep A vaccine. By July 25, 2009 she was having symptoms of facial paralysis. It progessively became worse and then she was experiencing balance problems. We then took her to a neurologist and he stated that it was A.D.E.M. and ordered a hearing test. Just this past Sat on Aug 22nd we got the hearing test completed and she has complete hearing loss in her right ear. I take her tomorrow on the 26th to get an MRI to find out what exactly is going on with her. NOT DIAGNOISED WITH AUTISM YET BUT READ JENNY'S BOOK IN LOOKING FOR ANSWERS AND HAVE NO WHERE ELSE TO SHARE MY STORY.

What Happened:	Paul became obviously Autistic within 10 days of his cocktail of vaccinations at age 18 months. However he was exposed to mercury at conception...and before through amalgam fillings in my teeth(15) as well as the fillings in my parents' teeth... passing down the toxicity from generation to generation(in this way, you could call it genetic) Paul has a twin sister and an older sister. All of them C-section(not by choice). Paul was breech.I wanted to be awake for the twins' birth, but could not bc something was wrong with my platelets. The night before we were to go home I developed complications, high spiking fever, swollen distended belly, excrutiating pain. After many doctors examining me and not knowing what was wrong with me,they began calling my family from out of state to come. They felt I was dying...so did I. My cousin demanded that her gastroenterologist examine me. He found numerous eschemic patches in my intestines(leaky gut??)AND that my colon...stopped. My colon was on the verge of bursting. 2 weeks after the twins' birth we went home. They kept the babies with me because of their dad's history of abuse. Unfortunately my oldest daughter could not stay with me. She was 2. Paul had bleeding diaper rash the first day home from the hospital. I now recognize it as Peri-Anal Streptococcus. Paul and Jessica had many URIs, ear infections, etc. They were on open 'scripts of Amoxicillin for the first 2 years of life. Paul reached his developmental milestones ahead of Jessica. I was concerned about Jess bc her eye contact was not good, she did not nurse well and slept a LOT. Paul never crawled, but rolled across the room. He walked at 7 months and then RAN. I left my abusive husband just before the twins' 1st birthday and Elizabeth's 3rd birthday. Jess began walking at 1 year of age... they seemed to switch places and Paul began displaying strange behaviors, staring into the sunset, flipping his cars over and spinning the wheels, watching ceiling fans,insisting on following sidewalks and running up and down hills repeatedly, etc.Paul developed a rash. Lotions were given by his ped. The rash spread. He scratched constantly til he bled. A nurse practitioner turned off all lights and turned on a black light. My son literally GLOWED from head to toe.Nystatin lotion was prescribed. Age 18 months...shots were delayed bc they were always ill...but they were given anyway. Within 10 days my son was very obviously Autistic...no eye contact, would not hold anyone's hand, stopped responding to the human voice, ran flapping his hands squealing all hours of the night. He also began what the ped called night terrors. I knew better. I KNEW my son was in agony. His "attacks" lasted anywhere from 20 minutes to 2 hours...high pitched screaming, thrashing around, arching his back so extensively that only his heels and his head touched the floor. This went on for 2 years until age 3...He would come to me with outstretched arms for me to hold only to push me away. My son was known as "Mr. Personality" before this...then he was replaced by an empty shell of a child who would not respond to the human voice, I could not FORCE him to look at me, he rode his spring horse obsessively and wildly when he was initially afraid to get on it. My child was gone. I put his baby pictures away. I believe the Mercury that my son was exposed to via my amalgams and then vaccines...Hg built up damaging his immune system. In comes live vaccine MMR. His immune system does not create antibodies because of the damage done by mercury. I believe he has live virus in his body, along with mercury , candida, etc. There is much more...

What Happened:	Max was a typically developing child who was just a sweet, loveable little boy from the day he was born. He spiked a 103-104 fever the night of his 9 month shots and a week later was not making eye contact or responding to his name. it was a steady decline from there to 18 months when his system just could not handle anymore. He currently has a rubella virus titer that is 400 times what it should be and the last shot he got was over 3 years ago. He is doing better with speech, has regained his balance and alot of his social skills but is very anxious and has a hard time attaining. He is still very much a cuddly, lovaeble, smart little boy who is trying so hard to recover.

What Happened:	My son was given school shots prior to pre-k on recommended schedule. This was may 2008 prior to his diagnosis. He had a drastic increase in ocd,tantrums, sleep disturbances, stimming and most of his language was scripted from favorite movies and tv shows. He lost a lot of his functional speech. Toilet training regressed dramatically. Fall of 2009 we had the recommended flu shot for the first time and his behavior took a downspiral. His sleep was interrupted. He tantrumed. His focus was off. He was so difficult to interact with his temper was very bad. His stimming was back in full force. He was like a different person.

What Happened:	My children were growing great. They were starting to learn words, and being active. Then around a year old they got their shots and everything went down hill from there. It was like they shut down. They got really sick, and then it was like everything they had learned up to that point just went away. It was the craziest thing i had ever seen.

What Happened:	My son was totally normal, smart, very outgoing and would try to talk, up until I got him vaccinated with multiple shots at once. I wanted to wait, but our dr. insisted on giving him 4 shots at one time. I noticed after all of this, that he had become more reclusive, less communication, to the point that his peditrician asked to refer me to a speech specialist. I refused though and put him into Head Start, where the teachers noticed that his vocabulary was low. From that year, it took 2 years, to finally get a school psychologist to diagnose him with broad spectrum autism.

What Happened:	When Ivan was borned I thought what a nice and quite most gentle baby he was. I have an older son who was a handful. Now with Ivan he was so different. He was so well behaved, laughing all the time looking at me giving hugs laughing at older brother. Well pretty much a normal kid. Right before he turned 2 he received his MMR shots (first round). Then he became really ill. Asthma and he was given steroids. Both the shots and the asthma happened right around the same time. He stopped pointing at things when he wanted them and was moaning. He became very aggressive he would hurt people including himself. He didn't liked being touched. At the time I thought it were cause of the steroids. But as time went on he became more withdrawn. His speech was severely delayed. He would get frustrated because I couln't understand him. He would hit me. Tantrums left to right. Repetitive behaviors obssessive ones at that (like spit on the mirror and then go over it with his hand over and over... or cutting whatever he could get his hands on). Learning disabilities in school. School not very helpful either. No friends hard to communicate. Not my same baby anymore.

What Happened:	Leila was developing normally, even said her first word at 9 months old. She soon had about 12 words or so. She had a set of vaccinations on September 1, 2005. The photo of her laughing was August 23rd and was similar to the rest on my computer, of a very engaged happy child. the next set of photos were not taken until after September 3rd, and you can see the difference, no responding to her name, no looking at the camera etc. Leila may have been a bit quirky before but after September she quickly regressed, lost speech, eye contact, interaction with others...

What Happened:	A Day after my son't 18 month MMR vaccines, his "normal" fever they typically get, he started having seizures and a high fever. I rushed him to our local Children's Hospital and they said it was viral, didn't observe a seizure although I ran into the hallway to get them when one happened. They didn't come in to observe the seizure. We were dismissed from the hospital, simply let go. No meds, no exam, no nothing. The next day I called my pediatricians office and they told me to take him back and to ask for an EEG. My husband and I returned to the same Children's Hospital and explained to them what our pediatrician had said. Their response was, that they hated when doctors try to force their hands to do this, that an EEG takes a couple of months to get in because it has to be scheduled. By this time, the pediatricians office was closed. I stayed awake with the tylenol, motrin regimen to keep his fever down. I called the neurology department of another Children's hospital to get him in, I new something was wrong, the seizures hadn't stopped. They told me to go to our pediatricians office and they will help us get in immediately. So I did this, I called my pediatricians office, they said no need to bring him in that they were aware of the situation and would call the neurology department and get us in. After a couple of hours, I called back to see if they had any information I was told that she had left for the day. I felt like I had no where to go, I couldn't take him to the hospital, they kicked us out twice. My son's pediatrician was gone. So we worked thru the night again and prayed the fever would and the "febrile" seizures would end. The next day, the office was completely closed. This day, my son wasn't speaking anymore and looked like he was just learning to walk, because he would fall and stumble. My sister who works in the NICU, out of my desperation asked the head of pediatrics what could be wrong, she told him the story. At this same time I was packing my bags, I was going to the next cities Children's Hospital. I told my husband if I had to get arrested for standing on a table, screaming to get attention on my son, I will do it. Someone WILL see my son and help him. I knew I was losing him and no one was helping me. My sister called me and said this doctor would see us, to bring him in. A few curse words later trying to get the records immediately from our just fired pediatrician to take with us to the new one and we were "in". He called the next major cities Children's hospital neurology department, and they scheduled us right in. Mind you a week had passed since his immunizations. He was admitted to the hospital in Cincinnati. He had a spinal tap, EEG and a cocktail of i.v.'s. Less than 48 hours later, we left. It took 3 years to find out he suffered viral meningitis. Their "Do No Harm" code of silence that hurt children is a crock of Poopoo. Anyways, my son lost his speech and some cognitive skills. Hopefully I can tell my whole story someday, it's just that it's 4 a.m. and I have to wake Joey up. We have to spend the night tonight at the hospital so I am making Disney Land out of our lives today to wear him out. He has "white coat syndrome", so I pray that he doesn't melt down, thrash and bite while they try to put "stickers" on his head.
