Tip for Gagging

Rescue Family: Kirsten & Ben Dicks Parents to Kyle and Erika
Challenge: My child would gag
How: Kirkman EnzymAid with DariFree Chocolate drink.

Tip for M12 Shots

Rescue Mom: Janelle Hall Proud mom to Jake, 7 and Julaine, 5
Challenge:  My child was waking up with MB12 Shots
Tip 1: Explained what it does for him
Tip 2: Gave him a reward each time. (like a GFCFSF/Feingold candy or a Nana’s Cookie)
Tip 3: Prescription Benzocaine/Lidocaine cream for numbing

Tip for yeast symptoms but is a non-responder to anti-fungal

Rescue Mom: Pamela Felice
Challenge: My child was showing yeast overgrowth       symptoms and did not respond to anti-fungals
Tip: Check for a bacterial infection (clostridia) and treat with the antibiotic Flagyl (this antibiotic only kills anaerobic bacteria and wont strip the good bacteria)

Bitter tasting supplements

Rescue Mom: Marsha
Challenge: My child will not take smelly or bitter supplements
Tip: Liquid Stevia masks the bitterness

Managing Supplements

Rescue Mom: DJ McNaught
Challenge: Trying to manage 12 supplements a day
Tip: Use Gladware 4oz containers. Put morning supp. on left and evening on the right. Go bottle by bottle and drop in the pills. When the time arrives open or crush pill add water or juice put on lid, shake, and load up syringe. Buy 16 for $5.00.

IV Chelation

Rescue Mom: Nicole Raimann
Challenge: How to prepare and distract
Tip: Make sure your child is properly hydrated so the veins are easier to find. Bring bubbles, DVD’s, or a favorite “IV toy”.

Low Glutathione Levels

Rescue Family: Jack and Tricia Roberts
Challenge: Oral and Trans dermal not effective or creating undesired symptoms
Tip: Nebulized Glutathione try 2mls 2x day

Know you Additives

Rescue Mom: Carol Rivera
Challenge: Even though you are GF/CF many kids cannot tolerate additive in the foods. For example: sulfur, salycilates, and phenols.
Tip: Read labels, know what additives your child can handle, and in what foods/supplements/bath products they are in.

Insurance Help

Rescue Mom: Christina Hatch
Challenge: I can’t seem to afford therapies or they aren’t covered through my insurance plan.
Tip 1: Get a PPO, travel to the best doctors, use co-pays to get evals for speech, OT..etc.
Tip 2: Get MRMIP insurance for your child that has been denied regular policies or state funded programs.

Yeast Die Off Diaper Rash

Rescue Mom: Jennifer Lindsey
Challenge: Rash from die-off
Tip 1: We put raw honey on the rash at night and by the morning it was gone.
Tip 2: Giving a probiotic in the morning before breakfast helped the child sleep better.

Intolerant to Folinic Acid

Rescue Mom: Leslie Metcalf
Challenge: We wanted to add folinic acid to my childs B12 shots but he didn’t tolerate it well.
Tip: We found that Folapro worked great and increased the effectiveness of the B12

Intolerant to Colored Capsules

Rescue Mom: Angie D’Ingianni
Challenge: All of my childs supplements seem to come in a colored capsule.
Tip: We buy the clear capsules from our local health food store and replace all of their medication/supplements with those.

Numbing Cream without Bandaids

Rescue Mom: Sonya
Challenge: My child will not allow me to put bandaids on them when trying to use numbing cream.
Tip: We used a small square of saran wrap to keep it in place.

Can't Orally take Oil of Oregano for Candida

Rescue Mom: Marina Peyton
Challenge: My child would not take Oil of Oregano because of the horrible taste.
Tip: We rubbed it on the bottom of their feet twice daily and got 80% absorption.

Will only drink from a Juice box

Rescue Mom: C. Hatch
Challenge: My child will only drink from a juice box.
Tip: We would funnel in all of their supplements through the hole where the straw would go, and they never new the difference.

Refusing Supplements

Rescue Dad: Dan Burns
Challenge: My child always refuses to take his supplements.
Tip: I turn their favorite movie on and pause it. When they reach for another pill and take it they can view the next scene.

 Toxic Mop Up

Rescue Mom: Pramilla Srinivasan
Challenge: Child acting up after detox protocol
Tip 1: Activated Charcol and Pectasol Chelation Complex
Tip 2: Move the stool using spinach and mango/pear juice
Tip 3: Apply Epsom Salt Cream

Symptoms of Metal Toxicity

Rescue Mom: Sherry Kolb
Challenge: My child had increased symptoms of heavy metal poisoning but all of her lab work can back within range.
Tip: Remember that if you have 3 or more metals that are within range the compounding effect of all of them can put them at a severely toxic level.

Feeling Depressed about GF/CF

Rescue Mom: Nancy Kennedy
Challenge: Feeling depressed that you are not seeing changes in your child.
Tip 1: Faith in God
Tip 2: Be willing to go the extra mile for your child and learn where Gluten and Casein are hidden in foods.

Allergic to most Alternative “milks”

Rescue Mom: N/A
Challenge: My child seems to be allergic to all of the premade milk substitutes that are GF/CF
Tip: We bought a Soya Milk machine that we use to make our own milk like quinoa/sunflower seed milk.

How to get more Omegas and Protien

Rescue Mom: Lisa Hunter Ryden
Challenge: My child needs more protein and omegas in their diet
Tip: Use ground flax seed or hemp seed and add them to everything!

Allergic to fish Oil

Rescue Mom: Danae Eskildsen
Challenge: My child needs the benefit from Fish Oil, but is allergic
Tip: After much avail we have found a company “Spectrum” that is made from flax and contains no fish oil.

Child in a Foul Mood

Rescue Mom: Vivian Harder
Challenge: Things were going great and today my child is in a BAD mood.
Tip: Remember that although you child is temperamental they may have bad days like you and I.
